Efficacy Testing Equipment & Services

We supply a number of non-animal testing methods to the Personal Care industry. The equipment that we supply allows our customers to perform the following in-house:

  • Skin irritation in-vitro tests
  • Occular irriation in-vitro tests
  • Skin corrosivity in-vitro tests

Through our Italian partners, INTEGRA we do also offer the service of conducting such tests on behalf of our customers.

The following table shows the various testing and equipment available, and states which tests are performed by INTEGRA.

CUSIVI InVitro Intl Assay System Customized Service Irritection ® and Corrositex® assay systems are performed by INT.E.G.RA., as InVitro International European Facilities.
OI001 OCULAR IRRITATION IN VITRO TEST Ocular irritation test, on the samples purchased by the Customer, utilizing the Ocular IRRITECTION® Assay System.
DI001 DERMAL IRRITATION IN VITRO TEST Dermal irritation test, on the samples purchased by the Customer, utilizing the Dermal IRRITECTION® Assay System.
DC001 DERMAL CORROSIVITY IN VITRO TEST Dermal Corrosivity test, on the samples purchased by the Customer, utilizing the CORROSITEX® Assay System.
CUS1 IN VITRO tests CUSTOMIZED SERVICE. All the tests in the list, and other available tests, are performed by INT.E.G.RA.
SC001 in vitro PRO-SENSITISING POTENTIAL. in vitro A blood-derived cell model (monocytes) is used as prototypic immunologically active cell.
PAO01 Determination of PAO (Period After Opening) Predictive Stability after opening, based on D Value (Required D Value).
CHT001 Challenge Test Efficacy evaluation of the preservative system.
CHPA001 PACK: PAO + Challenge test Both tests (PAO01 + CHT001) are performed on the same sample, with a complete report of the study.
SPF02 SPF in vitro Report (preliminary) In Vitro preliminary evaluation of sunscreen protection factor of a topic product, according to Diffey Method.
SPF01 SPF in vitro Report Complete In vitro evaluation of SPF according to Diffey + UVA protection ("critical wavelenght" + Boots stars rating).
CIT01 In vitro Cytotoxicity Cell survival assay using coltured human keratinocytes.
FOTO1 In vitro Phototoxicity 3T3 NRU Phototoxicity test, according to the official method published on the EC official Journal 08/06/2000 (Italian law L.136/98).
ASCUT1 In vitro Percutaneous absorption. evaluates, in vitro, the degree of percutaneous absorption of the main active principle/s inside a topical product using Human 3D epidermis units.
